Sandpoint, Idaho – Day 7

For $25, we got a delightful, shady tent site by the river and showers. Today’s ride of 65.3 miles allowed us to have more time in camp. This is a good daily distance for us. Also, the combination of Preparation H and bubble wrap made riding much more enjoyable!

Day 0 of The Northern Tier Bike Route – The Arrival

Yesterday, Helen and I managed to cram the two boxed bikes in the back of her Honda Fit. She kindly offered to use her car to ferry Betsy and me to the Denver airport in the morning.

Preparations for Cycling Across the U.S. - the Southern Tier Route. My wife, Betsy, and I fly to San Diego this Saturday morning to begin a cross-country bike ride on the Southern Tier Route, which starts in Sandiego, California and finishes in St. Augustine, Florida.
