Day 8 – One More Day of Rest Until I Hit the Trail

Up at 7 for breakfast of Trader Joe’s granola. Will, Margie, and I cleaned the casita. I packed my stuff and gave a sackful of stuff for Will and Margie to take back to Boulder. Will had arranged a meeting in Tucson at 10 am. At 9, he drove me to an Enterprise outlet on East Speedway. I got my red Hyundai and drove east to the east unit of Saguaro National Park. I drove around the loop road and enjoyed the views (see photo). The off to Lordsburg where I picked up my Merrill’s at the Econolodge and thanked Radar and Peru for their hospitality. Then north on Hwy 90 for 45 miles to Silver City and the RV Park. I found Hercules sitting at a picnic table. We chatted then drove two blocks to the Food Basket. Back at the RV Park, Hercules hit the trail. Meanwhile, Great Divide biker Baloo showed up. We chatted while I snacked on dinner. I also drank a half-gallon of chocolate milk. My feet feel fine. But I’m going to rest one more day to make sure.
