It's been a week since I left the trail. The cuts on my legs are healing nicely. Most of the pains have subsided, although my right shoulder is still stiff from a fall during the second to last day on the trail.

Back at the Appalachian Trail – Day 14

The featured attraction of the day was Mahoosuc Notch, a mile-long slot filled with giant boulders between two steep hillsides. It's reputed to be the hardest mile on the AT. I arrived at the southern end after walking 1.5 miles.

Back at the Appalachian Trail – Day 13

Today featured sun, two downpours, a fall, a daddy shelter. The day started well enough walking past Page Pond and Dream Lake in the first three miles. A 500-ft descent brought me to the turnoff to the Gentian Pond shelter.
